So 2021 has come and gone — and there was a lot to talk about.
But I write about the human brain and how this impacts everything we do, from health, to society, to business, to helping you to live longer, healthier and happier.
I am sure you are not aware of the unmitigated roll of continued research that continues to take place below the level of public consciousness — but it is precisely these pieces of research that can have the most dramatic impacts on your life and the live of others. Or will become the big trends of the future.
So here’s a summary of what you almost certainly missed in 2021 in 6 parts.
Part 1, January- February:
Ageing well
I reported on multiple studies on ageing — and how to age well — in 2021. This was one from January that showed, interestingly, and importantly, that your views of ageing, and how you relate to ageing, impacts how well you age. So, if you think of ageing as negative process and keep joking about how you’re losing it in old age — well, you will lose it. If you keep a positive outlook you age better — phew that’s me through and through!
Another one noted the relationship between your gut health and ageing (see also below). That means eating healthily folks…
