So 2021 has come and gone — and there was a lot to talk about.

But I write about the human brain and how this impacts everything we do, from health, to society, to business, to helping you to live longer, healthier and happier.

I am sure you are not aware of the unmitigated roll of continued research that continues to take place below the level of public consciousness — but it is precisely these pieces of research that can have the most dramatic impacts on your life and the live of others. Or will become the big trends of the future.

Part 3, May-June 2021

In May I started writing my daily Quick Hits — short updates on new research coming out — and there was a bunch of important pieces that came out in this period. Let me summarise some that I see as important:

Business

There were a number of independent pieces of research that gave a lot of support to what we know makes for effective teams in business.

Research into 48 teams from 5 Canadian startups by Brykman and King showed that those leaders who encouraged on-the-job-learning, and of note, also enabled and encouraged employees to speak
